Music has been my passion since I remember myself. Not as a musician, but as a music listener. Due to my dad I was able to listen to CD quality recordings already back in 1987 in Latvia.

These days, I am continuing to evolve my own music reproduction system at home that allows to recreate a musical recording as close as possible to how it was intended to sound by artists & recording engineers. It is a never ending process. Always ready to talk about it, share and help uncover better ways of listening to music at home.

What is a good sounding music recording reproduction system?

Few indicators:

If you are in a room with such a system and music sounds, you do not want to leave. It sounds not aggressive nor harsh, it is involving and interesting to listen to. Room is filled with a spacious sound, it is not coming just from the speakers. Even if you do not like the music style, some of your body parts start moving themselves. At times you might experience goosebumps from particular sound passages.

Few tests to see where your systems stands:

Put on your not cheap, good over-the-head headphones and listen to your favorite music. Then listen to the same music on your speakers. If it sounds the same (base, mids, highs, space, details) or better, then congrats - you have a great setup! If not, there is a room for improvement.

Another test: When you turn your system's volume knob up, music reproduction has to raise in volume more than in loudness. In other words, the sound in a room has to become bigger more than louder. If it is not so, there's room for improvement.

What are my music reproduction services like?

  • Suggest well recorded music to test your system. Not all music is recorded well, even though it might be announced as HiRes (HD if you will).

  • Evaluate how your gear is powered as well how your speakers & room is setup. Have you noticed the difference of sound in a car and at home? There's something behind that.

  • Over the years I have trained my ears so I can evaluate your setup's sound - sort of do a critical listening at your place.

  • I can serve you as your purchase guide if you would like to migrate to a better setup or upgrade some of the components. These days in a sea of products that might be handy.

  • If you really want it, then you can come to my place and listen to my setup. This can be a critical listening or as I call it - an audio shower session with a cup of coffee and pleasant feelings of a nicely reproduced music.
